Summer at the CLO is a fun and educational program for local elementary and middle school children. The program combines elements from the Arts Academy and The Zone, allowing kids to express themselves through art, music, theater and recreation.
In 2011, participants included representatives from Joy of Music, Ijams Nature Center, One World Circus, Knoxville Zoo, Tennessee Children's Dance Ensemble, UT Culinary Institute, and the HABIT program, in addition to local artists and instructors. University of Tennessee Basketball Coach Cuonzo Martin, along with several assistants and athletes also participated in Summer at the CLO. Coach Martin hosted a basketball clinic, signed autographs, and talked about the importance of setting personal goals.
Summer at the CLO is offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00-4:00 during the month of July.
